First Week

Seriously, Brock is the best baby ever! He is super sweet. We are loving every second with our new little man. Allie is so precious with him. I catch her singing to him and giving him lots of hugs and kisses. She was holding him and she kept saying over and over, "It's ok, It's ok, I'm right here. I'm your big sister." He is sleeping and eating like a champ. I have to keep waking him up in the night to eat. How lucky is that?! We are so blessed to have our sweet kids in our lives. We love them oh so much!

Last Day

Well....doctor said I'm 4 centimeters dialated and he is inducing me today. So wish me luck!

Last week?

So this may be my last week being pregnant. I go in for my 38 week appointment tomorrow and he is going to tell me if I can be induced a week early, on April 28th. His due date is May 5th but his ultrasound due date is April 26th. Since Allie came on her ultrasound due date which was 4 days earlier than her due date we felt there was a good chance he would come early as well. So with that said, my parents booked their flights to come on the 28th. We are crossing our fingers that if he doesn't come early on his own that the doctor will take him on the 28th. My braxton hicks are getting stronger and I'm feeling a lot more of them in my back as well.

It is really starting to hit me that I only have about a week left with just my little Allie. We've been the best of buddies for the past 3 1/2 years. I have loved being a stay-at-home mom and watching her grow. I really worry about the adjustment she is going to have to make with our little guy coming and I have fears that she'll think we don't love her as much as we did before. So far she is SO excited for her brother to come. She always includes the baby in her prayers and today she gave my belly a hug and said "I love you. This is your big sister."

Parties!

Party #1

Allie had so much fun at her little friend's birthday party. It has to be one of the cutest birthday parties I've EVER seen! Each girl came dressed as a princess. While at the party, each girl made their own name tag and necklace. Thanks to the variety of stickers, Allie was in heaven! Once they were done making their crafts, the princesses were off to the tea party!

The girls got to pour their own pink lemonade and scoop in extra sugar (Nerd's), if they desired. They munched on fruits, muffins, nuts, pretzels. It was adorable!

They read the story of "The Princess and the Pea." Each girl got to sit on the pillow to see if they could feel the "pea" (green bouncy ball) underneath. Of course they all were real princesses and each received a cute little necklace.

If the kids didn't make enough of a mess during the tea party, they were given one more chance because each girl got to decorate their own cupcake. Needless to say, Allie had a blast!

Party #2

My friends, Annie and Angela, threw me a 'sprinkle party'. The decorations were so cute and I had such a wonderful time visiting with friends. Thanks girls!!

Easter Pictures

Allie was so excited to see the Easter basket GG & Papa sent her. She loved it!
Dad and Allie coloring eggs. This was probably her favorite thing because she has an obsession with eggs. We couldn't keep her out of the fridge after we colored the eggs because she kept wanting to hold and look at them.
The Easter Bunny usually hides candy outside on napkins...but this year it was so hot outside (in the 80's) that he hid the candy in our house while we were outside playing. She was so excited to search around for the candy.

Things to Remember

*On Easter morning before conference started Kyle gave a little lesson on why we celebrate Easter. He told the story of Jesus and then we watched Finding Faith in Christ. Of course I started to cry during the Atonement and Crucifixion and my sweet little girl crawled up on the couch by me and started to wipe the tears from my eyes and said, "Mom, don't be sad, Jesus came back to life." It was such a tender moment.

*Allie is a social little butterfly. She has constant need for friends at the park or library. She is a leader and a follower and I love that about her. At times she takes charge and wants to do something specific, but other times she is content to just play whatever game the other kids want to play.

*Allie felt the baby move for the first time a couple of weeks ago. This baby has been so active but Allie has never had the patience to sit and wait for him to kick. One night I was laying on the couch and the baby was going CRAZY. Allie could see his big movements all the way from the other couch and she started to giggle. She jumped up and ran over to my stomach and felt him kick. Ever since then she has been even more in love with her little brother.

*This one sounds weird, but Allie has an obsession with eggs. If I hear the fridge open I know that she has gotten into the egg carton and is holding one or more eggs. She loves to crack them, eat them, and hold them. You know when you go to a grocery store and most kids want to look at the live lobsters in the tank? Well mine likes to look at the eggs.

*I took Allie to McDonalds the other day. Although this wasn't her first time there, we don't eat fast food hardly ever and if we do it is usually while we are driving somewhere. So for Allie this was a special treat to go inside and play in the playplace. The next morning Allie was blessing the food and in her prayer she mapped out what she wanted to do that day..."play with puzzles, and then go to the store, and then go to Old McDonalds." She still thinks it is called Old McDonalds and I don't correct her because I just think it is so cute!

*Allie is my big helper. She loves to make her bed...how great is that?! She even loves to make mine. It takes her a while, but she insists on doing it by herself. She also loves to put on her jammies. Cleaning up toys is still another story. She even took this picture of her bed because she was so proud of herself.
*Kyle is magic...in Allie's eyes anyway. He 'magically' pulls treats/cookies out of Allie's ears. Now Allie will walk around saying that she can feel a cookie in her ear and that dad needs to get it out. She REALLY believes there is something in there and it cracks us up.
