Lately...

Lately....we've been spending a lot of time outside playing in the pool.

I love our neighborhood!  There are so many girls Allie's age!  And this isn't even a 1/4 of them!

Lately...we've been to a lot of soccer games.

I love that they are holding hands!

SCORING A GOAL!
I love her face here!  This is her walking away from scoring a goal...doesn't she look proud of herself!

Lately...we've been working in the yard a lot!

We aren't completely finished...a few more bushes here and there and some trees in the park strip - - but with that said, I love what we have already done.  I can't wait till our trees and bushes start to grow and fill in a little bit!

Two Year Old Brock

I just wanted to take a second and write down all the things I absolutely love (and a few random facts) about this little boy.  He is growing up so fast and I can hardly believe he is two!
We LOVE you so much!

*He is starting to talk like crazy!  Everyday he says something new.  My favorites are "bear"...pronounced 'beer' ...and "hold you," which is his way of asking me to pick him up.

*His favorite movie is Rio.  He loves to sing and flap his arms while the birds are singing!

*His favorite foods are pickles, Popsicles, peanut butter, waffles and any kind of beans.  Pickles and Popsicles are pronounced the same...so I can only tell what he wants depending on if he goes to the freezer or fridge.

*He asks me to sing to him every night before he goes to bed.  His favorite songs are I'm a Child of God and I Love to See the Temple.  He asks by waving his arm around like a chorister and saying "God" for the 1st song or "Purple" for the second song.  Purple doesn't sound like Temple, but I know what he means :)

*He LOVES to cook.  He begs me to get out my pans, bowls, whisks, spoons, and beater for him to play with.  Seriously he does this everyday!

*He is amazing on my iphone!  He loves the cooking games where he can make cupcakes, cake pops, and donuts.  He is also great at the puzzle and matching apps!  Such a little smarty!

*He is afraid of his "dirties" (which is what he calls the lint between his toes once he takes off his socks).  If any lint gets in the bath water he freaks out and won't let me put him back in till I have drained the water completely and fill it back up with fresh water.  It makes me laugh!

* I don't know what it is about baby girls, but he is in love with them!  He is so sweet to Oakley ("O") and Emmy.  He gives them his blanket...which says A LOT!

*Although he is not potty trained, he is starting to show signs of being very interested in it.  He has gone potty only once on the toilet, but he asks me to put him on it several times a week.

Happy Birthday Brock!!!

Our handsome little boy turned two on Friday!  He is such a sweet heart!

We had a little family BBQ to celebrate his birthday.  He had SO much fun and got completely spoiled!

Angie & Rob gave him these super cute old fashioned guns.  He loves wearing the holsters!

Kit & Shana gave him a lego set...before I know it, my house will be covered in these!
Papa and GG gave him a lawn mower and a t-ball set.  That mower is basically attached at his hip!
Steve & Jessi gave him a darling dinosaur book and play dinosaurs. We let him take those to church yesterday, and we won't be able to do that again because he makes the loudest sound effects while playing with them!

Kyle & I gave him a Balance Bike and helmet along with water guns, chalk, bubbles, and a little spiderman lawn chair.
Thanks family for coming to celebrate our little man!

Easter

Easter was so fun this year!  We colored eggs, did the candy hunt, had a delicious BBQ, and just hung out in the backyard.  The weather was amazing!
Coloring Eggs with the Gurney Clan!

Allie & Brock loved coloring eggs!
I have no idea what I was thinking putting Brock in a white shirt!

We do the hunt a little differently...the Easter bunny doesn't hide one egg or leave a basket.  He leaves candy placed on napkins all over the yard.  He does separate hunts for the adults, big kids, and babies.  Unfortunately I don't have any of the pictures of the adult hunt on my camera.
Olivia, Allie & Brock racing to pick up the candy!

We also celebrated the April birthdays!
Happy birthday Brock & Gavin!

He is such a handsome little guy!

City Creek

While Kyle was at the Priesthood session last night, my mom took us to City Creek in downtown Salt Lake. This mall is beautiful! It was so crowded but I'm still glad we went. We took the Trax to avoid the traffic and the kids loved it!  Well...Allie did, but Brock was nervous.  He loved looking at them, not riding on them.

Allie loved the water fountains!

Brock...not so much.

Brock did like looking at the fish in the little pond and touching the water with his hands.

Thanks GG for a fun night!
