*Allie loves to tell stories! It is fun to listen to her ramble on about her day; things she saw and people she knows. Most lines start with "And so...." in true story telling fashion. She also throws in a few fake laughs while slapping her knee. If you let her she will go on and on. Although I can understand most of what she says regularly, every other line in her stories are in another language.
*Every Sunday, Allie's nursery leader comes up to me laughing about how Allie likes to organize and keep things neat. This isn't something we've just discovered, she's been like this forever. The nursery leader tells me she always makes sure the doors to the closet are closed. I guess it bugs her to have one open and the others closed. She also will line up all of the animals in groups (giraffes with the giraffes, elephants with the elephants, etc). She also separates her fruit loops into colors. Tonight we were having Hawaiian haystacks for dinner. Allie freaked out when I layered her food so I had to dump it out. Then little miss independant separated everything into sections on her plate. Wow!

take me out to the ball game!
Last night we went to an Astro's game with a bunch of friends. We had the best time! Hot dogs and parking included we spent less than $25 for our whole family. This is definitely something I want to do again. President Bush Sr. and Barbara were there too...they kissed each other on the kiss-cam. Oh and the Astro's won! 7-0.

Jealous?...You should be!
IT'S SWIM SEASON! We went to the pool today for the first time. It was such a perfect day to go swimming. True the water isn't warm yet but after 15 minutes out in the hot sun we were ready to get in the cool pool.

Happy Easter!
For Easter Kyle's Dad, Debi and Sarah came down from Canada to visit. Kit, Shana and Brigham came down from Oklahoma to visit as well. We took some really cute pics of the kids in their Easter clothes. This was quite the adventurous photo shoot. Either one or both would always be trying to escape and the only thing that would keep them in place was M&M's (and that didn't even work too well :)

Here is a picture from 2 Easters ago. The funny thing is that we've NEVER planned to match the kids, it has just happened both years!
We had a little Easter egg hunt with Brigham, Sophie and Ella. Aunt Shana spoiled little Allie with a full basket before the race even begun. We emptied it and the race began!

Spring is here!
The weather here in Houston is SO nice this time of year. We've been enjoying 70 degree weather and sometimes even warmer. Lora, Christy and I decided to take our girls up north to take some Spring pictures.

(this is the new Easter dress that Allie thinks she looks like a princess in **read post below)

Sophie, Allie and baby Ella. Allie felt like such a big girl being able to hold the baby. We are really sad because both little girls are moving away within a few weeks. :(

Things to Remeber
*I tried Allie's new Easter dress and shoes on her and stood her up on the bathroom counter to look at herself. She placed her hands together and held them to her face (like when you pretend to sleep) and started dancing and singing "I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream." It is her favorite song from Sleeping Beauty. - Such a princess!
*Allie's sippy was full of water and my cup was filled with Crystal Light. She holds hers out to me with one hand saying, "want to try some of mine....it's nummy," while R-E-A-C-H-I-N-G with her other hand for my Crystal Light. I love how she tried to convince me to trade her. - What a salesman!
*Every night we put her to bed in a diaper and pj's only to check on her an hour later to find her naked. Sometimes she is in the bed, sometime on the floor with her pillow and blanket, or in the closet with her toys, or behind her rocker with a baby, or right next to the door so we can't get in. We always laugh when we find her...then we dress her and put her back to bed. - Funny girl!
*Allie loves to pray...and she never wants anyone else to say the prayer. But we don't mind because is there really anything sweeter than hearing your daughter pray to her Heavenly Father?...Nope. But what I really love about her prayers is that she blesses things individually..."Bless my chicken, and my ketchup, and my milk, and my peas, and my blankie, my mommy, and daddy work..." - She melts my heart!
