Can't Wait!

Seriously I'm itching to start packing and I still have one week to go before we leave for Utah. Allie is so excited to see her grandmas, grandpas, aunts and uncles who all love her very much. She is also so excited to play with her little buddy, Olivia.

I was going through old pictures and I found this one of Allie and my dad. Sometimes I just want to move back to Utah right now so that Allie can have more moments like these.

Thankful

A couple of weeks ago a huge rain storm came through and as a result canceled our Ward's cannery night. I was bummed...I had saved and planned on it for a couple of months. The next cannery night was going to be while I was in Utah. Lately I've been on a big food storage kick and I have had a real desire to get prepared. Well, my RS president called me and offered to watch Allie so I could go in the middle of the day with another ward. She has 4 kids and home schools them so she is already so busy. I accepted her offer (with MUCH gratitude). When I picked up Allie I could tell that Allie had the best time. She colored, played in the back yard, played with puppets and stickers and so much more. My president makes it look so effortless...I'm always amazed. Oh, and when I picked up my daughter she had offered to watch two other kids in the ward because their mom was super sick. Amazing.

Our Weekend

After work on Friday we drove up to Dallas to visit Mindy & Eric and meet up with Kit and Shana. {For those who don't know, Mindy is Shana's Sister}. We love spending time with all of these guys. Saturday was Kyle & Kit's 26th birthday.

The boys went geocaching while the girls took the kids to the park. We went out for dinner that night and then had their birthday dessert at home. Sunday was Mother's day and it was a great day. I love being Allie's mom! I'm grateful to my wonderful mother! And I'm grateful to Kyle's mom for raising him to be such a wonderful man! Mom's Rock! This weekend was full of fun, food, and Settlers! But the trip definitely wouldn't be complete without a speeding ticket on the way home :)
