She is officially King (or Queen) of the Potty! We are so proud of her and she is so proud of herself. For the most part this was a pleasant experience. I tried using the Potty training in less than a day method and although I didn't follow the book step for step, it worked pretty well. I started training her on Monday and she has had only 2 accidents since. Way to go Allie!!!Thursday, October 30, 2008

Fall Festival
Tonight Allie and I went to our ward's Fall Festival. They served dinner, had games and contests, and then ended with a trunk or treat for the kids. Allie loved trick or treating! She would even say "trick or treat." Kyle is in Mexico on a business trip till Friday so I'm posting lots of pictures for him to look at while he is gone.

Fun Two Weeks
Kit (Kyle's twin brother) had a training class down here in Houston for 2 weeks and he brought his wife, Shana & my favorite nephew, Brigham. He is only 2 months younger than Allie. We had so much fun with them. I'm sad to see them go but we will be spending Thanksgiving with them so we'll see them in a few weeks.

Kit is still in my dog house for making a funny face for this picture. Just kidding.

Say CHEESE!

OIL RANCH
A couple of weeks ago I took Allie to Oil Ranch as a playgroup activity for my ward. We had lots of fun. We got to go on a train ride, a hay ride, and a pony ride. We got to feed cows and pick out a pumpkin.

She was really nervous riding the pony at first, but was pretty comfortable by the end of the loop.

Brunette?
Ok...so it was time for a change. What do you think? I was so nervous but I knew I was in very capable hands. My very talented friend cut and colored my hair yesterday. Thanks Lora for doing my hair...I love it! And so does Kyle :)

(The sunlight behind me and the flash of my camera lightened the color of my hair - it is a little darker)

Happy Birthday Allie!
How is it that something can feel like forever ago, but you still can't believe it is here. It honestly feels like we've had Allie forever but I can't believe that she is 2 years old! We missed having our family at the party but we are fortunate to have good friends here in Houston to help us celebrate Allie's birthday. Here are lots of pictures from the small party we had for Allie.

This darling cake was made by my friend Annie Faulk. Isn't it the cutest cake ever! She let me help her make the flowers and decorate the cupcakes. It was actually a lot of fun. Thanks Annie.
