Kyle-1, Allie-3

After dinner last night we decided to head up to the lake and go fishing. This is one of Kyle's favorite parts about living in Utah...we are seriously minutes away from this lake. Kyle caught the first fish, who proudly let Allie reel it all the way in. She was so excited! It was almost time to go but Kyle wanted to catch at least one more. So to keep Allie busy he threw one of his poles out there and told Allie to reel it in. We were waiting for a bite on Kyle's line, when all of a sudden we look over at Allie who has reeled in a fish almost to the shore. She hooked and reeled it in all by herself! It happened two other times! She also hooked two more but lost them. So Allie really did catch more than her dad. She kept saying, "I'm so proud of me!" And while handing the fishing pole back to dad to recast she would say, "one more mom." She has the 'fishin' itch'...just like her dad! Kyle said this was one of his favorite fishing trips...he was SO proud of his little girl!
{PS...she used Kyle's fishing pole, not a kiddy pole!}

Here is a picture of Kyle and Allie at Pappasito's. It is the most amazing Mexican restaurant in Texas. I'm going to miss it SO much! So our move out here was quite the adventure. It's funny now...not then :) Our Penske truck broke down 150 miles away from Amarillo in a small town. We parked the truck at this Shell station and waited for a mechanic to come look at it. After an hour of waiting, Kyle called and Penske said the mechanic was on his way but was stuck in traffic. So we waited another hour. Then Kyle gets a call from the mechanic who tells Kyle to step out of the car and look across the street. He then waves for Kyle to bring the truck over to his shop. It was right across the street!!! Because of a broken fuel pump we could only go 50 mph until Amarillo where Penske had another truck sent from Lubbock with a swap crew to move everything from one truck to another. Except the swap crew never showed up, leaving Kyle and my dad to swap everything at midnight. But we are here now...and all is well.
