4th & More

4th of July in Fillmore is the best! The parade is short & sweet (30ish minutes and flying candy everywhere)! We love going down to see Grandma Fay and spending time in the park after the parade.

~

The craziest thing happened on the 4th. Kyle and I dropped Brock off at my parents house and took Allie down to watch the Stadium of Fire fireworks in a park near the stadium with Kit and Shana. But as we were walking down University a guy stopped us and gave us 4 FREE tickets to the show. We snagged our nephew Brigham and took off to find our seats. Brad Paisley was awesome and of course the fireworks were too!

~

Since Allie was a baby she has always been super afraid of mascots. She conquered her fear this summer!

...but I think she passed her fear on to Brock.

Brock is now 15 months. He is in the 70% for height and 49% for weight. He is super smart and has the cutest smile ever! He is learning words all the time! Here are the words he knows: banana, horse, dog, momma, Dada, Allie, GG, cracker, night night (his word for his blankie), and hi. I love to watch him do the hand signals to itsy bitsy spider and patty cake. He has mastered stairs (which is a relief) and is constantly climbing up on my kitchen table (which is not). He plays a silly game where he points up at the ceiling and makes a surprised face and waits for you to look up...then he giggles and does it again. He thinks its funny that he can make you look. He is starting to become super independent. He loves to feed himself, which of course is rather messy. He can be starving but he'll refuse to eat if he doesn't have a spoon in his hand. He's been working on getting his 1-year molars in, but you wouldn't know he is in any pain. He is the sweetest happiest baby in the world!

Before & After

Our yard has made some transformations since we moved in. There is still a lot to do...but we love the progress!

Front Yard

There was a significant slope in the front yard and since I really wanted it as flat as possible we added some rock walls. It's hard to tell in the 'After' picture, but there is tons of flat grass in between the two walls. We are excited to add plants and trees to make it even more beautiful!

Back Yard

Before

Top Picture: Picture taken from the back patio of the south side of the back yard. The shed is our neighbors...and it sits basically on the property line. The dead grass in the back is a wedge of the park that is behind our house and belongs to the city. So there was a 4 ft tall slope in our back yard. Middle Picture: Taken from the back patio of the north side of the back yard. This is where the grow boxes now sit.

After

We added a rock wall along the back side but gave us enough space to add a flower bed on top. In the corner of the north side we added some grow boxes for our garden.

FRONT SIDE

The side of the house is still under construction. Hopefully we will have the carport done this summer but we'll have to wait and see. We did add a rock wall on the side to keep the dirt from sliding down.

Brock's 1 Year Photo Shoot

My sister-in-law took Brock's one year pictures, some sibling shots, and some updated pictures of Allie. I love them! She always does an amazing job! She is running a promotion right now if you are interested in getting some family pictures done. Her rates are at the bottom of this post.

~
He is the cutest boy ever!!!! That smile melts my heart!

{As a side note...this kid is SO smart. He will fold his arms if you say, "let's pray." And when you say banana he runs to the counter where I keep the bananas. And if you ask how old he is he'll hold up one finger. I love watching him learn new things}

I love my kids!

Allie is just as pretty on the inside as on the outside!

She's a sweetheart!

Promotion Rate: $65 base: Includes one photo shoot {family or a child}, traveling to one location, editing pictures & a CD of the best pictures that you can print anywhere. Only $10 for each addition photo shoot with a CD of the best pictures! So for family pictures and two kids photo shoots it would only be $85! {2nd location is an additional $50}
